La Musique Du Roi is a brand new online information guide on the performance and interpretation of French Baroque dance music, which aims to educate both early and modern musicians about this period in music history and serve as an aid to help musicians make historically informed decisions in their own performances of this repertoire.
Through her studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Beth became aware of the lack of reputable information on French Baroque dance music freely available online, as most resources exist in physical format only. Therefore, by collaborating with other historical musicians and baroque dancers, Beth has created a resource which makes such as niche subject matter much more widely accessible to student and amateur musicians.

The guide discusses the musical characteristics of 15 baroque dances, including the menuet, sarabande, and gavotte, in relation to the dance that the musicians from the period would have accompanied. The context in which these would have been performed is just as important, therefore the influence of Louis XIV on French Baroque music, the musical establishments at his court, and the different performance settings of social and theatrical dances are also featured within the guide.
